Kristen Orr is a paralegal in the Elder Abuse Prevention unit at the Center for Elder Law & Justice. She works with clients in abusive situations and assists with navigating the legal system, safety planning, and connection with additional services. Prior to her work in the Elder Abuse Prevention unit, she worked with CELJ’s Technology-Based Legal Services attorney and outside project partners to expand and improve the Senior Financial Safety Tool, a web-based financial exploitation risk identification application. She previously acted as the agency’s outreach coordinator, planning and speaking at events in the community to promote CELJ and bring free civil legal services directly to underserved populations. Before working at CELJ, Ms. Orr worked at a private elder law firm for five years with a focus on Medicaid asset preservation and estate administration.
