Katelyn Gindele

Staff Attorney

Katie began her work at the Center for Elder Law & Justice as an intern in 2017, and was subsequently named the Pro Bono Scholar in 2019 before accepting a full-time position as a staff attorney with our Elder Abuse Prevention Unit. She holds a J.D. from the University at Buffalo School of Law (2019), and a B.S. in Biology from Buffalo State College (2010). While at UB, Katie received several awards for her commitment to nonprofit legal work, including the Alan Carrel Award, which is granted to law students who make a significant impact through public service. She was an associate at the UB Law Public Interest Law Journal, interned at Erie County Volunteer Lawyer Project’s family court help desk, and also worked at the Erie County SPCA. In her free time, Katie volunteers her time with a local animal shelter. She is a member of the NY State Bar Association.
