Christopher Phillips is a May 2020 graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Law and a recipient of the Borchard Fellowship. Through this prestigious program, Chris will be expanding the agency’s partnership with the Western New York Pride Center’s Silver Pride Project. The goal of this project is the improvement of the lives of the aging LGBTQ+ community.
Chris began working with CELJ’s Guardianship Unit while in law school, and quickly moved on to become the Law & Policy Advocacy Intern, in collaboration with the Health Foundation of Western & Central New York. During his final semester of law school, Chris participated in the Pro Bono Scholars Program, working for CELJ’s medical-legal partnership located at Erie County Medical Center.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts from Canisius College, and was admitted to the New York State Bar in June of 2020.
