Summer Webinar Series to begin July 13

The Center for Elder Law & Justice is partnering with the Erie County Department of Senior Services to host the 21st Annual Elder Law Day Virtual Summer Series. For the second year, presentations and consultations will be held virtually and recorded for future viewing. This collaboration is designed to provide information on legal issues affecting older adults to assist them (and their caregivers) in making informed choices about their health, financial well-being, and long term health care needs.

Presentations will kick-off on July 13th at 10am with “Guide for Basic Estate Planning,” by Linda Stravalaci Grear, Esq. (Pfalzgraf, Beinhauer, Grear, Harris, Schuller LLP.) Additional presentations include:

July 14th: “Scams and Fraud Targeting Older Adults – How to Avoid Them,” by Gary S. Brown, Esq. (New York State Office of the Attorney General, Westchester Regional Office).

July 20th: “Mortgage Foreclosure & Tenant Eviction – 2021 Updates”, by F. Alexander Fehrman, Esq. (Center for Elder Law & Justice) and Tatiana Robinson, Esq. (Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority).

July 20th: “The Benefits of Irrevocable and Pooled Trusts” by Jamie M. Smith, Esq. (Smith Vavonese, LLP)

August 18th: “Elder Abuse,” by Katelyn Gindele, Esq. and Tracey Casseus, Paralegal (Center for Elder Law & Justice)
