Individuals in recovery need constant support, even in the best of times, to stay sober and healthy.  During this pandemic the added financial, emotional, and familial stress, as well as increased presence of alcohol- and substance-related “jokes” on social media, can make recovery and sobriety seem almost unbearable.  Help is available!  Organizations such as the American Addiction Centers are operating virtual AA and NA meetings.  Please visit https://americanaddictioncenters.org/virtual-meetings for scheduling and login information.  Your local chapters of Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and Gamblers Anonymous may also have virtual meetings for people in recovery and for family/friends of those who suffer from addiction.  Please contact them for more information.

Anyone in crisis (addiction-related or otherwise) may contact the 24-hour National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255.
