I’M A HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL, LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER, FIRST RESPONDER, OR OTHER ESSENTIAL WORKER.  HOW CAN I FIND CHILD CARE SO I CAN GO TO WORK?

Individuals in need of child care can fill out an online request form from the Child Care Resource Network at www.wnychildren.org.  Also, child care providers who have openings should contact the Child Care Resource Network at the above Internet address.

New York has used some of the money it received from the CARES Act to provide childcare scholarships so that essential workers can access quality childcare at no cost to them.  Essential workers whose income is at 300% of the Federal Poverty Level or below are eligible.  The program runs through May 28th unless extended.  To apply, workers need a letter from their employer certifying that they are essential, and a completed attestation form regarding employment and income, which will be provided when the essential worker registers for the scholarship.  If an essential worker does not have a child care provider already, the program will help the worker find one.  To apply for this childcare scholarship, visit https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScvxhLCNWoq4koXGsY2QbInTgj8MTB3911ZO9Kw2rgz5ciLrQ/viewform.
